Delicious is a social bookmarking web 2.0 tool that allows sharing, storing and finding bookmarks. You can search on the database for websites that others recommend from categories.
All your bookmarks are in one place (externally) and stored safely so if you loose your computer or changes browsers they are still available.
Firefox has a add-on which acts like the favorites tab. You can access this from any computer which aids in the portability of today’s world.
Bookmarks can be organised by tagging and arranging them which makes sense to you.
Ease of sharing your bookmarks with others.

How I Would Use This Tool:
I have found this extremely useful as the current book marking system I have been used has been useless. I have had to format my computer a few times, or get a new computer and my book marks are lost. Also there was no management and no way to collate and find what I needed. I would use this in everyday life, as well as in my classroom.
It would be useful to have one place the students can look for sites that I want them to use, rather than asking them to copy a web address from the board (especially as they are sometime long).
